JOB TITLE: Graduate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
REPORTING TO: MES Engineer/MES Lead
OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the MES group on all plant related MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) issues. This would include working in cross-functional teams and could range from supporting new product development, capacity expansion, to maintaining and improving MES performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and create custom reports and queries, retrieve data from databases when required.
- Assist QA with data analysis, data mining.
- Create and maintain procedures and work instructions related to traceability activities as required.
- Coordinate MES updates, changes, and troubleshooting..
- Maintaining engineering and measurement systems such as 42Q, PTS, OES, and Splunk.
- Participating in medical validation and change management processes.
- Support 24/7 Production needs through rotating callout cycle.

Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.
Upon finishing the training, the successful candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- MES Applications: Know, understand, maintain, and be able to write software to support MES applications, including but not limited to 42Q, Conduit, PTS, OES, Splunk, and Measurement.
- Data Collection: Understand the data collection solutions applied across all production lines.
- PTS Setup: Be able to set up PTS for a new production line.
- System Configuration: Configure 42Q and Conduit for new products, revisions, locations, route changes, and other requirements.
- Measurement Parsers: Be able to configure Measurement parsers, troubleshoot file parsing issues, and reprocess failed files.
- Database Management: Maintain a strong overview of the MESR and Measurement databases, with the ability to develop SQL queries to retrieve necessary data.
MEASUREMENTS:
Measurements will be assessed against an agreed set of MBO’s as detailed in the annual performance appraisal process.
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION
Qualifications and Experience:
- Candidates should be Technical Engineering Graduates with a qualification at or equivalent to Level 8 degree or level 9 masters in the National Framework of Qualifications in an approved IT/Engineering discipline.
- Previous experience working with Databases and SQL queries is preferred
- Working knowledge of Python is an advantage
