Programmer/Analyst 3

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Java developer to join our 42Q Applications team in Chennai to produce and implement functional software solutions for manufacturing systems (42-q.com) . This position will be actively involved in developing, testing and supporting  systems while following SDLC methodologies. Be part of a multinational distributed team that works together to provide efficient and effective solutions to our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BE / MCA degree or proven work experience, preferably IT, Computer Science or Electronics

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively present requirements and solutions in oral and written form. Need to work closely with teams in the U.S, Brazil and China, among others

• Wide experience in Core Java language (4+ Years)

• Knowledge in frameworks or systems such as Angular / React JS (2+ Years)

• Knowledge in REST/SOAP Service APIs development, handling JSON/XML related code segments (both DB & .Net) and scripting languages.

• Proficiency with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL

• Familiarity with various operating systems, preferably Linux

• Knowledge in code repositories like SVN / GIT and work monitoring tools like JIRA

• Good knowledge of the software development life cycle and methodologies

• Ability to quickly learn other technologies and processes as required for the system and to work along with the team (or independently if required)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Previous exposure to manufacturing systems and processes would be a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and support a highly available cloud based manufacturing system

• Act as third level support/dev support to guarantee the system running 24X7 to meet service level agreement with customers

• Keep constant communication with management and adherence to company’s policies and regulation

• Elegant and Efficient code practice on all the requirements.

• Quality deliveries and improvement recommendations to the existing/delivered solutions.
